"FIRE HORSE"
THE STORY OF WORLD HORSE DAY

Directed by Adam Morse and slated for a 2026 release, FIRE HORSE will tell the definitive story of World Horse Day and celebrate the horse-human bond. The film follows a journey from the Mongolian steppe to the United Nations, documenting an empathy-based shift away from slaughter toward a sustainable future of rewilding, therapy, and grassland restoration.

We are currently welcoming production partners and funding to bring this vision to the screen.

The Journey: From a Slaughterhouse Vow to the United Nations

FIRE HORSE documents the journey of one man, Naranbadrakh "Naara" Batkhuu, who witnessed a visceral moment of cruelty in a slaughterhouse in 2013. This experience sparked a personal vow that evolved into a national movement, a partnership with heads of state, and ultimately a global mandate for empathy at the UN.

Moving from this solitary mission to the vast Mongolian landscape, the film follows the chain of events that led to the UN declaring July 11 as World Horse Day.

The President’s Vision: A Call for Global Empathy

Driven by a recurring dream of the “Spirit Horse,” the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, became the visionary who carried this movement to the United Nations. In his address to the UN General Assembly he said: "From the moment of birth, Mongolians have been raised in the saddle... we initiated this resolution to raise awareness of the horse's importance to human society."

A Catalyst for Systemic Change

FIRE HORSE is designed as the primary launch vehicle to put World Horse Day on the map for global streaming platforms. It is not just a documentary; it is a blueprint for a future where compassion is more profitable than cruelty.

A central focus of the film is a historic Mongolian initiative to pivot away from the horse meat trade. We follow the transition of herders as they move toward a new economy of sanctuary and stewardship.

By showcasing international efforts like Rewilding America Now, the film bridges the gap between rewilding science and ancient tradition. By treating horses as vital healers of the ecosystem rather than livestock, we demonstrate that protecting the horse is essential to protecting the Earth itself.

The Foundations of Connection: Expert Perspectives

The film brings together a global network of equine experts to provide a rigorous scientific and methodology-based foundation for our mission.

Moving beyond traditional interviews, the film uses kinetic observation to document real-time healing. We decode the neuroscience of "limbic resonance" with Prof. Philip Tedeschi and feature the therapeutic work of Virginie Bernhard and Candice Webster. Dr. Ann Baldwin utilizes HeartMath technology to show how a horse’s heart rate synchronizes with our own – proving the "Silent Language" is a measurable biological bridge to healing. This is grounded by James French’s "Trust Technique," which replaces dominance with trusted cooperation to establish a new scientific mandate for equine sentience.

The Director's Vision

Horses are purveyors of empathy, emitting a higher vibrational frequency that elevates our own state simply by being near them. My goal is to use this film to show horses as great healers, documenting incredible relationships to ignite a movement for their protection.

By shifting perception, we aim to make World Horse Day a catalyst for real change – inspiring the protection not just of horses, but of empathy itself, an endangered capacity our society desperately needs.
