World Horse Day Celebration –
Mongolia, 2026
In June–July 2026, Mongolia will host a landmark 3-day World Horse Day Celebration, organized by the Mongolian Government with the World Horse Day Foundation. Rooted in Mongolia’s legendary horse culture, the event will bring together riders, herders, equine leaders, and international guests to honour the horse’s lasting role in heritage and modern life. The centrepiece is the 10,000 Horsemen Parade – envisioned as one of the world’s largest equine gatherings – alongside cultural performances and celebrations across the steppe.
Experience the Ultimate Celebration of the Horse
Immerse yourself in Mongolia's rich equestrian heritage at the World Horse Day celebration. Over three action-packed days, you will witness the legendary 10,000 Horsemen Parade, thrill at mounted archery and wild horse breaking, and relax with horse therapy and traditional arts. From the opening warrior cavalry formation to the closing drone show, this is a cultural journey you won't want to miss.

The 10,000 Horsemen Parade
At the heart of our celebration is the 10,000 Horsemen Parade, set to be one of the largest equine gatherings in the world. Ten thousand riders from across Mongolia and the international community will unite on the vast steppes north of Kharkhorin. Join us at the ancient capital of Genghis Khan for this monumental display of heritage and horsemanship.
